Treasury Shares
The same underlying concept as Treasury Stock, not a separate share pool. Filings may say “treasury shares” when counting the individual shares, but this Wiki uses Treasury Stock as the canonical term.
What traders should verify
For Treasury Shares, trace the instrument count, rights, price or conversion terms, vesting or maturity, measurement date, and later changes in filings.
Do not conflate
Do not treat Treasury Shares as proof that shares are issued, outstanding, freely tradable, converted, exercised, vested, or sold unless the evidence establishes that state.
